River Roots Concert

A homecoming celebration and fundraiser for 91.1 The Avenue

Three artists, who have achieved national recognition, all are played on 91.1 The Avenue, and all have their roots and start in cities along the Fox River in NE Wisconsin are performing for one night only at the Meyer Theater, Friday March 8th. Doors open at 6 pm, Concert at 7 pm.

*       Benjamin Olson-   Heading to Nashville from Green Bay in 2003 to pursue music, Benjamin’s first release “White Window” was awarded “Best Male Solo Artist” by the Southeast’s largest major market radio station. From appearing on Roy Orbison’s official 2009 tribute album, to his songs on the popular A&E Network program, Dog the Bounty Hunter, to performing regularly in Nashville, Ben is thrilled to be back at The Meyer Theatre to perform favorites and songs from his soon to be released 4th album.

*       Hillary Reynolds Band – The Hillary Reynolds Band, fronted by award-winning songwriter Hillary Reynolds, has been touring the nation since 2009 playing original music from their multiple album releases. HRB are 100% Berklee College of Music alum, with diverse talents in songwriting, live performance, orchestration, and production, just to get started. Turning heads in hundreds of places like Chicago’s Elbo Room and NYC’s The Bitter End, Hillary is excited to go back to the area of her Appleton roots and play at The Meyer Theatre.

*       Sam Brooker- “Songwriter of the Year” in Nashville as well as “Album of the Year” from the Associated Press for Sam & Ruby’s “The Here and Now” and a Grammy nomination for “Heaven’s My Home”, and with appearances on NBC’s ,The Sing Off,  Sam Brooker is a well known name across the country. As a regular on The Avenue playlist, and as one of the founders of music publishing company, Artist Revolution, the company behind the chart climbing  Florida Georgia Line, Sam is happy to make time in his busy music schedule to go back to his roots and play for Avenue fans.
